Chojo Jacques & Ken Clarkson
December 2, 2006

House concert #22 and the final show of 2006 was a night of instrumental fireworks between Chojo Jacques and Ken Clarkson. It was Chojo's first visit but a return for Ken, who was here last March with his band, Jimmy Chickenpants.

We heard bluegrass, swing and blues go back and forth between two friends who would have otherwise been up at the Brookdale Bluegrass Festival doing the same thing, jamming in some room at the Brookdale Lodge.

And we had a chicken incident in the second set that was unforgettable. More details in the blog (coming soon)!

BLOG: Read more about Chojo and Ken's visit in our online diary, where you can add your comments, too!

PODCAST: There's an after-show interview with both Chojo and Ken, and a preview of the next concert Melanie Hersch and Kenny Edwards.

Natural light, perfect night.

Ken brought his resophonic banjo, a cross between dobro and banjo = dojo!

Chojo plays the chicken under his left arm.

It was a cluck-off between Chojo and Ken.

No chickens were harmed in the making of any this music!

Somebody got a pre-show start on how to play the chicken.

Talking about fly fishing at the break.

Just a little chat with a couple of friends...and a chicken.
