Jimmy Chickenpants
March 18, 2006

Our seventeenth house concert featured a relatively new bluegrass band out of Santa Cruz called Jimmy Chickenpants. They're made up of Joni Matthews (guitar and vocal), Hide Kawatsure (mandolin), Jim Davies (string bass), Rob Clayton (guitar), and Ken Clarkson (banjo and dobro). And did I say bluegrass? Forget it, because we heard almost every genre this night, from blues to jazz to gypsy!

BLOG: Read more about Jimmy Chickenpants's visit in our online diary, where you can add your comments, too!

PODCAST: There's an after-show interview with both Jimmy Chickenpants, a review of Laura Cortese, and a preview of the next concert with alt-country angel, Corinne West.

Chicken Heads! (l-r) Hide, Greg, Jim, Rob, Ken, Juliet and Joni.

Amazingly, we fit them all in!
